DaunenStep is committed to making its website accessible in accordance with the applicable legislation on digital accessibility, including Italian Law No. 4 of 9 January 2004, Legislative Decree No. 82 of 27 May 2022 and the applicable AgID Guidelines.

Description of the service

The DaunenStep website allows users to access information about products for good sleep, including duvets, pillows, toppers, quilts, mattresses, bed linen and accessories. Users can also purchase products online and use services such as customer support, registration, personal account area, newsletter, store locator and information on shipping, payment, returns and warranties.

The aim is to make the website’s content and functions accessible to as many people as possible, including through assistive technologies and alternative navigation methods.

Partially compliant.

This website is partially compliant with the requirements of the UNI CEI EN 301549 standard and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, due to the cases of non-compliance listed below.

Non-accessible content

The content and functions listed below may not be fully accessible due to non-compliance with certain requirements of digital accessibility legislation:

  • C.9.1.1.1 - Non-text content: some non-text content, such as images, icons or graphic elements, may not have an equivalent text alternative.
  • C.9.1.3.1 - Info and relationships: in some cases, information, structure or relationships between page elements may not be programmatically determined or may not be available in text form.
  • C.9.1.4.1 - Use of colour: in some sections, colour may be used as the only means of distinguishing information, states or functions.
  • C.9.1.4.3 - Minimum contrast: the visual presentation of some text or images of text may not always ensure the required minimum contrast ratio, except for the exemptions provided by law, such as logos.
  • C.9.1.4.4 - Resize text: some text may not be resizable up to 200% without loss of content or functionality.

  • C.9.2.4.3 - Focus order: on some pages, the order of keyboard navigation may not fully preserve the meaning and operability of the content.

Content excluded from the scope of application

Some third-party content that is not funded, not directly developed or not fully controlled by DaunenStep may not fully comply with accessibility requirements. This may include, by way of example, external components integrated into the website, such as maps, anti-spam systems, payment systems or embedded third-party services.

Planned improvement measures

DaunenStep is working to progressively improve the accessibility of the website, with particular attention to the following aspects:

  • improving text alternatives for images, icons and graphic content;
  • optimising the semantic structure of pages and headings;
  • improving colour contrast for text, buttons and user interface components;
  • checking keyboard navigation and focus visibility;
  • improving labels, instructions and error messages in forms;
  • progressively reviewing interactive components, including menus, filters, cart, checkout and personal account area;
  • reviewing informational content and documents published on the website.

Preparation of the Accessibility Statement

This statement was prepared on 20/06/2025 and last reviewed on 05/06/2026.

The assessment was carried out through self-assessment, objective analyses and sample-based subjective checks, also with reference to the requirements of the UNI CEI EN 301549 standard and WCAG 2.1, Level AA.

The statement will be reviewed periodically, at least once a year, or following substantial changes to the website or the digital services offered.

  • the address of the page or function concerned;

How to submit reports to AgID

In the event of an unsatisfactory response or no response within 30 days, users may submit a report to AgID according to the procedures indicated by the Agency for Digital Italy.
