The dream goes on

1907 - Marius Eccel, expert in the traditional technique of making duvets, inaugurates his workshop in the centre of Bolzano. His expertise, combined with remarkable initiative, an innate sense for quality (and not only in appearance, but also with regard to workmanship and materials), laid the foundation for the birth of the DaunenStep label.

1920 - The business expanded when Marius Eccel’s four children joined the company. The production of duvets grew, and with it the selection of fine raw materials - already found throughout Europe - commenced.

1969 - The current company premises is inaugurated on the Renon Plateau, and the reins of company management passed on to Kurt Eccel, the founder’s grandson.

2003 - The new factory is opened in Arco, on the shores of Lake Garda. The production method does not alter at the new facility, and remains safely entrusted to expert tailors.

2006 - Kurt Eccel hands the management of the company over to his son Marius. At the young age of 29, Marius becomes managing director. The company grows even more on the international markets with determination and enthusiasm.

2007 - One hundred years have gone by, and every generation of the Eccel family has contributed to the brand’s growth with passion and talent. Today, four generations later, there is still a member of the Eccel family at the head of the company, personally testifying to the exclusive quality of the DaunenStep brand.
